New NBA Go-To for Boxscores

I’ve shilled this website before, but I have to do it again as we enter the new season. Mitty has added a ton of cool new features, but my favorite is still everything related to the box scores, which has become my go-to after games.

Just one example of the many stats provided in the box scores: check out the Clippers' pull-up three-point shooting versus their spot-up shooting percentage, and how that compared to the Suns last night.

The new AI Game Analysis in Beta now inputs additional stats to generate summary reports after each game!

Redick’s Out of Timeout Analysis

We are one game into the NBA season, it’s PEAK overreaction time. But let’s try to root our overreactions in actual, concrete stats.

  • In the first game of the season, the Lakers scored 6 points on 4 after-timeout (ATO) plays, achieving 1.5 points per possession (PPP).

  • This outpaces last season's top team, the Milwaukee Bucks, who averaged 1.25 PPP in ATO situations. It's also a notable improvement from the Lakers' 1.13 PPP under Darvin Ham last year.

  • In contrast, the Lakers managed 1.13 PPP in 92 non-ATO possessions, highlighting the efficiency when executing structured plays rather than their typical read-and-react approach.

At the very least, these are promising signs from the Lakers first game.
