Usually, all LeBron comparisons end up mashing up multiple players (think Magic + Scottie). But what if we could pinpoint just one player who's closest to the King?

That's exactly what this video sets out to do.

  • The analysis used 10 metrics with surprising results in various categories:

    • Stature: Paulo Banchero (99.1% similarity)

    • Shooting tendencies: Russell Westbrook (92% similarity)

    • Portability: Chris Paul and Jason Tatum (99.8% similarity)

    • Passing: Russell Westbrook (100% similarity)

    • Usage and creation: Russell Westbrook, Ja Morant, James Harden

    • Defense: Chris Paul (88.2% similarity)

    • Play style [where they get their shots]: Jimmy Butler

    • Athleticism (vertical leap): Anthony Edwards, Ben Simmons, Aaron Gordon, Amen Thompson (all 41.5")

    • Shooting ability: Jaylen Brown (99.8% similarity)

    • Dominance: Nikola Jokić (99.5% similarity)

Resulting in the overall most similar player to LeBron, factoring in all categories: Jimmy Butler (80.8% similarity), followed by Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant! Definitely check out the vid.
